Cathyria Reyes Rodriguez was pulled over by the police in the 1300 block East Main Street in Annville at 12:39 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, the police detailed in the release.
The police were attempting a traffic stop after discover she was driving with a suspended license plate.
"During the course of the investigation Reyes-Rodriguez began to physically fight with Officers, striking one Officer with a closed fist," the police said.
Reyes-Rodriguez was arrested and charged with felony assault on law enforcement; misdemeanors for simple assault, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence, disorderly conduct, and possession of marijuana; and summary offenses of operating a motor vehicle without financial responsibility, and displaying fraudulent inspection stickers, according to the police and confirmed by court documents.
She was released on $25,000 in bail and her preliminary hearing has been set for Thursday, Oct. 31.
